Dr. Carolyn Khanian, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Founder
I’m a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology. I began seeing patients over 14 years ago and have worked across a range of clinical settings before building a private practice focused on depth oriented, individualized care.
My work is grounded in the belief that understanding your history and patterns matters, but insight needs to translate into real change. I take a thoughtful, collaborative approach that balances exploration with practicality, and I tailor the work to each person rather than relying on a one size fits all model.
My belief is that therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or scripted to be effective.
Depth when it matters. Tools when you need them.
Therapy works best when it feels both thoughtful and useful. My goal is to help you understand yourself more clearly while also supporting real change in how you feel, relate, and move through your life. The work is collaborative, flexible, and centered on what actually helps you.
Evidence Based
I draw from evidence based approaches, including CBT and DBT, to help reduce symptoms, build coping skills, and shift unhelpful patterns. Rather than following rigid protocols, I adapt these tools to fit you, your goals, and your day to day reality.
Insight Oriented
We also spend time exploring where patterns began and why they continue. Understanding early experiences, family dynamics, and relational themes can create lasting change when paired with action. Insight becomes most powerful when it leads to new choices and a different relationship with yourself.
